Dr. Berman is currently involved in two new research projects. Both are FDA studies. First, he is one of only 10 study sights in the USA to evaluate a new artificial Meniscus. Used only the medial side, the device, NuSurface, was developed in Israel and has been used in Israel and Europe. The company is now trying to bring it to the USA. Christy Walters, RN, RNFA has now joined Dr. Berman as his new nurse. She comes with 20 years of experience in Orthopedic Surgery, General surgery, and Open Cardiac Surgery. She has experience as a clinical nurse, a private surgical assistant, a nurse circulator, and a surgical charge nurse. She is a member of the International Cartilage Restoration Society and with her knowledge will be a great addition.
Dr. Berman was the moderator, host and one of the speakers at the Baylor Orthopedic and Spine Hospital of Arlington’s Sports Medicine Seminar 2016.
